The Americus Garden Inn Bed & Breakfast offers you a multitude of common areas to relax, meditate, read, and contemplate. There is ample seating located under the back porch, and around the veranda. The upstairs balcony overlooks the newly relandscaped Rees Park. Relax near the koi pond and water garden while listening to the waterfall. Allow the child in you to soar on the suspended swing in the gazebo. Wander the 1.3 acre grounds to discover the blooms of the season. On March 1, 2007, Americus was struck by an EF3 tornado which ripped through our grounds, destroying over 30 mature, 100 year old trees. We took this opportunity to hire Landscape Architect Nancy Beckemeyer to help us create a garden oasis, a true escape from the ordinary. The landscape plan was implemented in Spring/Summer 2008 with a meandering walk through a variety of heritage, native and exotic plantings. We are delighted with the results and look forward to sharing our garden with you. |
